Vance Vance has, as he says, “The pleasure of serving as a youth intern at First Baptist of Aurora.” Vance is 22 years old and fresh out of college, as he graduated from Grove City College with a marketing degree in May of 2007. This will be Vance’s second internship with youth in a church setting in the past year. After college he was blessed with the opportunity to serve with Life Church in Sulphur, LA. Vance clearly loves the Lord and is eager to serve Him with his life and with a profession - one day. In September, Vance will be going to China as an English teacher. While he is extremely excited to serve overseas, he knows that there is nothing better that he can do currently than to serve at FBCA. Vance first recognized Christ as his Savior when he was five years old. His great-grandfather had a major impact on his decision for Christ, as he was a deacon at Canton Baptist Temple. Also, Vance’s other family members, especially his mother, always brought his brother and he to church when they were children. He believes his family was the connection to the greatest relationship that he knows he can have.
