First Baptist Church of Aurora & the Village of "S" Village in Mali, West Africa
Though the journey actually started many months prior, our church formally began a partnership with the International Missions Board (IMB) in the country of Mali, West Africa during June of 2007. Though we planned a simple vision trip (i.e. pray, walk among the people, see what we could do in the future), God had much larger plans! During this June trip, over 20 people from the "S" Village accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord. These new believers were baptized shortly thereafter and a church was formed!
Since this initial trip, our church took an additional trip to Mali in December 2007 and is planning 3 additional trips in 2008. For more information about our mission in Mali, please visit the links below!
