First Baptist Church of Aurora
& the Village of "S" Village in Africa
Though the journey actually started many months prior, our church formally began a partnership with the International Missions Board (IMB) in Africa during June of 2007. Though we planned a simple vision trip (i.e. pray, walk among the people, see what we could do in the future), God had much larger plans! During this June trip, over 20 people from the "S" Village accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord. These new believers were baptized shortly thereafter and a church was formed!
Since this initial trip in June of 2007, our church took an additional trip in December of 2007 and in April of 2008. Another team leaves on June 1 and plans for a December trip are being discussed.
